We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our internal IT team. This role requires a technically skilled individual to develop, oversee, and sustain the internal infrastructure that supports our penetration testing teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary contact for all IT requests related to penetration testing services.
  • Manage and support the infrastructure specific to penetration testing services, ensuring timely updates and efficient resource management.
  • Identify and implement automation or scripting solutions for repetitive tasks that enhance the delivery of penetration testing services.
  • Provide technical support to staff across various penetration testing service lines, addressing issues promptly and effectively.
  • Create, manage, and configure VMware guest systems, including the provisioning of virtual machines (VMs) and ensuring proper network and storage access.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges, escalating issues as necessary for timely resolution.
  • Document and update standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance skills and knowledge in support of the organization's evolving needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in systems administration or technical support roles.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for basic automation tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with end users and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the penetration testing process and related tools is advantageous.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere for creating and managing virtual machines.
  • Understanding of AWS IAM permissions and security best practices.
  • Experience in documenting technical procedures and knowledge base articles.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Security+) are a plus.
  • Previous experience with ITIL practices and IT service management frameworks.
