Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for orchestrating and supervising the successful execution of all stages within the project lifecycle for construction initiatives related to facilities. This role entails overseeing project design or construction activities, assessing contractor performance, coordinating with on-site personnel, and managing project modifications and change requests.

To be considered, candidates must possess U.S. citizenship, hold a current and active TS/SCI security clearance, and have successfully completed a Full-Scope polygraph.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee project design and/or construction processes, including schedule management, budget oversight, and daily project administration.
  • Assess and manage the performance of construction contractors.
  • Coordinate and integrate project activities with field teams.
  • Review, validate, and manage requests for project changes.
  • Deliver official weekly status updates on project progress.
  • Prepare and disseminate project communications to clients, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Support the client's Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) in acquisition planning, execution, and administration.
  • Assist the CO and COTR in conducting pre-bid and pre-construction site assessments.
  • Provide necessary documentation to the COTR for invoice processing.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules and budgets; offer technical guidance on contracting and construction-related matters; direct design efforts; recommend construction documents for approval; and oversee any subsequent maintenance programs.
  • Enhance performance, cost efficiency, and scheduling by ensuring project goals are met on time and within budgetary constraints.
  • Generate projects in MAXIMO, facilitating design review workflows and ensuring compliance with project closeout procedures. Ensure the integration of all systems, including IT, security, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
  • Compile Contractor Performance Reports (CPR) upon project completion.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in any discipline; alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent with five (5) years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
    • Willingness to travel as directed by the client, approximately five (5%) or more.
  • Certifications
    • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License and be eligible for an International Driver's License.
    • Must hold a valid U.S. Passport.
    • Must have a current, adjudicated, and active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph. Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
  • Experience
    • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in project management.
    • At least five (5) years of experience with MS Project or other project management software.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Access, and SharePoint.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
    • Familiarity with effective program management methodologies.
  • Skills
    • Proficient in MS Project or similar project management software such as MAXIMO.
    • Strong analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in briefing senior officials.
    • Ability to multitask effectively while managing time and priorities.
    • Demonstrated leadership, project management, team-building, and presentation skills.

    • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as operational needs dictate.

  • Supervisory and Budget Responsibilities
    • Lead and manage a diverse team of professionals.
    • Provide guidance and support to Client and Project Managers in planning, programming, budgeting, and executing project timelines.
  • Additional Requirements
    • Willingness to travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations, including remote and austere environments. Ability to work in sensitive operational settings and perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions for extended periods. Proficient in using standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, and printers. Ability to thrive in team settings while also demonstrating independence with minimal supervision. Capability to function in both stationary office environments and remote locations.
