Role Summary: The District Mentor - Street is a pivotal leadership role responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of field salon consultants. This position collaborates closely with the commercial leadership team to cultivate dynamic opportunities for core salon business accounts. By implementing strategic business and sales practices, the District Mentor - Street is instrumental in driving district success and enhancing the organization's overall growth and profitability.

People Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Leverage proven leadership and development skills to elevate your team's understanding of multi-branded distribution networks and the broader business landscape.
  • Exhibit and mentor strategic business and sales methodologies to foster sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Forge and nurture internal partnerships with brand and education leaders to propel strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Design and execute strategic plans that resonate with overarching business goals, analyzing market trends and identifying growth avenues.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to create opportunities that drive business outcomes.
  • Guide team members in strategizing to identify and secure new partnerships.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance brand visibility and boost sales in line with company objectives.
  • Proactively coach team members to cultivate a mindset focused on adding value.
  • Engage in field activities with each team regularly.
  • Develop cross-functional relationships with various stakeholders.

Sales Responsibilities:

  • Dedicate time in the field to support commercial growth by engaging with key accounts.
  • Conduct independent business reviews and strategy sessions with team members to uncover market opportunities.
  • Employ strategic planning for promotional budgets and monitor district expenditures to influence outcomes.
  • Facilitate regular action meetings to drive accountability and performance.
  • Analyze weekly trends and communicate strategies to ensure budget adherence.
  • Utilize CRM tools and manage operational tasks effectively.
  • Regularly assess sales performance data to identify improvement areas and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Provide updates to stakeholders on the effectiveness of salon partner programs.
  • Manage time-sensitive activities efficiently.
  • Support sales through educational and promotional events.

Training and Development Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the team's understanding of multi-branded distribution networks and the overall business landscape.
  • Build strong partnerships with brand and education leaders to ensure collaborative strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and harness individual strengths within the team to achieve collective goals.
  • Focus on business development and educational opportunities for team growth.
  • Stay informed on industry trends to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Encourage technology upskilling and efficient use of company tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop long-term growth plans.
  • Adhere to company policies to maximize sales effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and local language preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree or MBA in business or marketing is highly regarded.
  • Three to five years of relevant sales experience with at least two years in people management preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Ability to foster a cohesive team environment.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.

Essential Functions:

  • This role involves significant travel within the district to engage with clients.
  • Attendance at various meetings and events may require overnight travel.
  • Physical demands may include lifting promotional materials and products.

This position requires a high degree of independence and interaction with salon owners and business leaders, necessitating quick decision-making with managerial approval for key choices.
