We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at the Minnesota Timberwolves. As an HR Coordinator, you will provide administrative support across various Human Resources functions, including benefits administration, employee engagement, and well-being initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Administer benefits by entering enrollment data into benefit carrier portals, coding and completing benefit invoices, COBRA administration, updating the internal benefits document, and filing annual ACA reporting through the HRIS.
- Educate employees about their benefit plan options and answer inquiries.
- Assist with Open Enrollment tasks, such as scheduling meetings, preparing email communications, and following up with employees with outstanding enrollment items.
- Maintain accurate records of leave and accommodation requests, including updating timesheets and tracking leave.
- Assist the HR team in employee engagement efforts, such as ordering cake, sending anniversary and birthday emails, and distributing birthday gift cards.
- Promote and implement well-being initiatives for staff, including scheduling flu/COVID annual vaccination clinics.
- Provide front desk coverage during Concierge lunch breaks.
- Organize and prepare quarterly HR presentations outlining HR initiatives.
- Receive and organize staff gear and maintain closet spaces.
- Provide customer support to employees on policies, procedures, and HR-related questions.
- Assist the Human Resources team with miscellaneous projects as assigned.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer skills required, including experience with a HRMS, Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to adapt under pressure, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions.
- Ability to promote our company and business objectives as a brand ambassador.
- Dayforce experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of Human Resources and/or internship experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. In addition to working office hours, staff may work external events, including but not limited to recruiting and networking events. Work is sedentary in nature, with standard office equipment available.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment. Staff may occasionally move objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
TravelPosition may infrequently travel to external events, including but not limited to career fairs and networking events.
