Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrative Assistant to join our team at the State of Minnesota Board of Public Defense. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide administrative support for human resources operations, payroll, and training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for human resources operations, including data maintenance of employee records, payroll, and benefits.
  • Assist with training program logistics, including event coordination, communication, and registration.
  • Answer HR and payroll-related questions for office managers and employees.
  • Provide backup for statewide payroll processing using SEMA4 software.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect HR operations by keeping information secure.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and at least two years of administrative office support experience, including personnel/payroll.
  • Knowledge of human resources and payroll laws and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
