Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager of Airport Security, you will oversee critical compliance and enforcement functions related to airport operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing compliance with security regulations and conducting audits to ensure adherence to the Airport Security Program.
  • Supervising Program Security Managers and their teams to ensure effective regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Mentoring and developing staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Serving as a technical expert in access control systems and leading projects related to security enhancements.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication and operational strategies.
  • Participating in the development of policies and procedures to enhance security operations.
  • Acting as a key member of the Airport Security Coordination team, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
  • Engaging in emergency response activities as part of the Incident Command System.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess a combination of the following skills and experiences:

  • Proven leadership abilities in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience in managing teams within a highly regulated aviation context.
  • Knowledge of aviation security regulations, particularly 49 CFR Part 1542.
  • Relevant certifications in airport security and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in delivering presentations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in an aviation or specialized environment.
  • Valid Driver's License and any necessary certifications related to the position.

Additional Information

All candidates must undergo a criminal background check and may be required to complete a pre-employment physical or drug test. This position may involve emergency duties and extended hours during adverse weather conditions.
