Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Lead Mechanics to oversee our team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics, ensuring the optimal maintenance of our fleet of shared vehicles. This role is perfect for individuals with a strong mechanical background who are eager to expand their professional journey. Collaboration is essential in our operations, as team members work together to enhance product quality and maintain the safety of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics, delegating daily responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and facilitate the integration of new Mechanics.
  • Assess team performance and provide constructive feedback to management.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure compliance and safety of all vehicles before deployment.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols to guarantee the safety of Lime riders.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed quality checks for vehicles and components.
  • Oversee battery operations, including inspections and inventory management.
  • Support the organization of tools, parts, and vehicles within the workspace.
  • Assist with tire maintenance tasks, including changes and inflation.
  • Identify and address minor repairs on vehicles in the field to ensure optimal performance.
  • Uphold safety and hygiene standards within the warehouse environment.
  • Perform in-house repairs, ranging from basic maintenance to complex electronic component replacements.
  • Maximize vehicle operational readiness by efficiently completing assigned tasks.
  • Safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks or push carts regularly.
  • Drive a van for the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles as necessary.
  • Complete additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field; experience in training others is a plus.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs (35 kg) frequently.
  • Understanding of workforce management to assist in efficient staffing.
  • Adaptability to learn new concepts and tools.
  • Proficient in using data for decision-making and understanding KPIs to drive impact.
  • Familiarity with mobile applications; iOS experience is preferred.
  • Experience in safely operating pallet jacks or push carts.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of performing quick and effective repairs.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage daily responsibilities.
  • A safety-focused mindset, capable of conducting thorough quality assessments.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members at all levels.

Note: This position requires signing a waiver acknowledging the installation of Dual-Facing AI Dash Cams in Lime vehicles for safety purposes. This is a contracted role managed by a third-party employer.
