Position Overview

The City of Boise is seeking a dedicated and collaborative individual to join our Police Department's Records Division as a Records Management Specialist. This role involves working a full-time schedule, typically consisting of four ten-hour shifts, with varying hours based on seniority.

Compensation

The starting salary for this position is $17.50 per hour, with additional shift differentials available for evening and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process police records in accordance with established regulations and procedures.
  • Assist law enforcement personnel and the public with inquiries at the front counter.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Utilize various software systems for data entry, document management, and report generation.
  • Conduct data verification and error checking to maintain high accuracy levels.
  • Prepare and package case reports for submission to relevant authorities.
  • Provide administrative support to police staff and assist the public in accessing police services.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a high school diploma and have at least two years of experience in a professional office setting, with a focus on data entry and customer service. Familiarity with law enforcement records and regulations is preferred.
