Position Overview

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery to both customers and staff in a welcoming and professional manner. Your presence on the operational floor will be vital, as you will spend the majority of your time actively supervising, training, and assisting both employees and patrons.

Core Responsibilities
Operational Duties:

• Oversee staff and student personnel, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

• Recruit, manage, schedule, and train student employees during designated shifts to guarantee efficient meal service.

• Manage product orders from suppliers as assigned.

• Conduct inventory management and oversight.

• Ensure the facility maintains high standards of cleanliness and adheres to safety and sanitation protocols.

• Responsible for the opening and closing procedures of the unit, including securing the premises as per the schedule.

• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of food handling practices, including proper storage and serving methods.

• Familiarity with serving line equipment is beneficial.

• Proficient understanding of Point of Sale systems, including InfoGenesis and Agilisys.

• Ensure adherence to cash handling procedures within the unit.

• Possess knowledge of departmental and institutional policies to effectively engage with staff and customers.

• Follow safety precautions to maintain a secure work environment.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and overall computer literacy.

• Understand invoice processing procedures.

• Execute special projects as directed by management to support both front and back of house operations.

• Participate in meetings and serve on committees as required by management.

Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a high-volume food service environment, such as restaurants, catering, or institutional settings.
  • Experience in coordinating activities in both front and back of house operations.
  • Servsafe certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of employment.
  • Allertain certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of employment.
