Position Overview:
The Food and Beverage Attendant is accountable for all facets of proper food and beverage service across various outlets, including the dining area, lobby bar, and banquet facilities. Emphasis is placed on accommodating guest preferences, adaptability in work assignments, efficiency, quality, and a friendly demeanor that fosters a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver courteous and professional service to all guests.
  • Provide prompt, efficient, enthusiastic, and unobtrusive food and beverage service.
  • Accurately stock and set up all coolers, shelving, dining tables, service stations, and bar areas.
  • Exhibit knowledge of all menu items and demonstrate up-selling skills.
  • Serve food items to guest tables.
  • Clear tables and follow up on guest satisfaction during service.
  • Manage room service delivery and tray collection.
  • Disassemble, clean, and securely store all food and beverage items.
  • Ensure all food orders are accurate, served at appropriate temperatures, and delivered to the correct guests.
  • Assist fellow staff members as needed.
  • Engage with guests to inquire about their food and service experience.
  • Monitor and, if necessary, halt liquor service due to overindulgence or underage guests.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of wine pairings, beverage specials, proper liquor pouring techniques, and beer selections.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately (Checklists, Room Charge Tracking Forms, Cash Out Sheets, etc.).
  • Support waste tracking initiatives.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with team members to achieve high levels of cooperation and service excellence.
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness of food and beverage facilities and surrounding public areas.
  • Check all fixtures, equipment, and room conditions (coolers, lights, heating/cooling, furniture, etc.) for proper operation and report any deficiencies.
  • Properly maintain all work equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries with appropriate sensitivity and urgency.
  • Adhere to all departmental, hotel, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any additional tasks within the associate's capabilities as required.
Previous experience in food and beverage service is required. TIPS or Servsafe certifications are advantageous but not mandatory. Open availability, including weekends, is essential.
