About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Officer to join our team at Greenleaf Trust. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving commercial growth and expanding our presence in the market.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned geographic areas, building relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to facilitate growth and expansion.
  • Community Engagement: Represent Greenleaf Trust at community events, conferences, and networking functions to promote our brand and services.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain a network of professionals, including attorneys, accountants, and other advisors, to facilitate referrals and partnerships.
  • Client Support: Provide exceptional support to new clients throughout the account transfer process, ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining availability to answer questions or provide information.
  • Sales Team Collaboration: Actively participate in sales team meetings and contribute to the development of sales strategies and tactics.
  • Event Planning: Assist in planning, executing, and following up on event-driven marketing activities to promote Greenleaf Trust's services.
  • Community Representation: Represent Greenleaf Trust in the community through local Board of Director representation and other community engagement initiatives.
Supporting Our Team
  • Operations Support: Work effectively with Operations Division team members to ensure the smooth opening of new account relationships.
  • Client Centric Support: Collaborate with Client Centric Team (CCT) members to support client needs and ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Assist with seminar content development in areas of expertise and share knowledge with colleagues to enhance our services.
  • Communication Tracking: Ensure thorough tracking of prospect, COI, and client communications in our CRM system.
Continuing Education
  • Industry Knowledge: Participate in continuing education opportunities to remain current with new developments in wealth management, estate planning, tax, and retirement areas.
Committees and Other Responsibilities
  • Project Participation: Actively participate in assigned workgroup(s) for various projects and contribute to the development of solutions and strategies.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and a minimum 5 years' experience selling financial services or related intangible products or equivalent education and experience required.
  • Desirable Qualifications: JD, CFP, and/or CTFA beneficial, but not necessary.
