Position Overview:
We are seeking an Automation Specialist with expertise in the pharmaceutical sector. This role is pivotal in designing and executing automated systems and processes aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and productivity.

The Automation Specialist will collaborate closely with various engineering teams, oversee automation initiatives, and guarantee the dependability and performance of automated solutions.


Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation systems, encompassing software, hardware, and control mechanisms.
- Formulate comprehensive plans and specifications for automation initiatives.

- Program and develop PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), HMI (Human-Machine Interface), and additional control systems.

- Manage, coordinate, and implement automation projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure timely project delivery, adherence to budget constraints, and compliance with quality benchmarks.
- Work in tandem with cross-functional teams to facilitate the smooth integration of automated systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of automated solutions to validate functionality and performance.
- Address and resolve challenges encountered during the testing phase.
- Execute validation and verification processes for automated systems.
- Provide continuous support and maintenance for automation solutions.
- Develop and enforce preventive maintenance strategies.
- Troubleshoot and rectify technical issues to minimize operational downtime.
- Maintain meticulous documentation for automation projects, including design specifications, testing protocols, and user manuals.
- Keep accurate records of project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
- Deliver regular updates to management regarding project status and performance metrics.
- Identify avenues for process enhancement and increased efficiency through automation.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in automation technologies and industry trends.
- Implement best practices and innovative approaches to optimize automation systems.
- Ensure compliance of all automation systems with applicable safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols for automated processes.
- Participate in safety audits and inspections as necessary.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience with PLC, SCADA, HMI, and other automation technologies.
- Proficient programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or relevant PLC programming languages.
- Skilled in utilizing automation software and tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of control systems, robotics, and industrial automation.
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Automation Professional, Siemens PLC Certification) are advantageous.
