Role Summary: The Project Coordinator is a skilled professional who, with minimal supervision, utilizes project management expertise and engineering acumen to oversee medium-sized projects from inception to completion across various disciplines and locations. This role entails financial oversight, contractor management, and project supervision for pharmaceutical facility initiatives. Success in this position requires effective collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering teams, suppliers, and third-party contractors. Candidates should be comfortable in a manufacturing environment and possess strong communication and leadership abilities, along with technical knowledge relevant to pharmaceutical and medical device projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects while adhering to deadlines
  • Develop both long-term and short-term project plans, establishing milestones and deadlines
  • Delegate tasks to team members based on their strengths and expertise
  • Make informed decisions when faced with various options for project advancement
  • Act as a liaison for teams involved in the same project to ensure cohesive actions
  • Maintain communication with management to align project objectives with organizational goals
  • Conduct quality control throughout project development to uphold expected standards
  • Adjust project schedules and targets in response to changing needs or funding
  • Draft scopes of work, award contracts, obtain estimates, and select suppliers
  • Review drawings, supervise field contractors, and conduct final acceptance inspections upon project completion
  • Manage project budgets and timelines effectively
  • Coordinate various stakeholders to ensure project scopes are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality
  • Monitor project adherence to established processes and procedures
  • Track project progress to ensure alignment with scope, cost, and schedule
  • Anticipate future project needs and the impact of key milestones

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience with demonstrated competence
  • Technical expertise in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, particularly in GMP-regulated environments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups within engineering and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to articulate perspectives respectfully in various formats
  • Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
  • Interpersonal skills to negotiate and resolve conflicts
  • Proficiency in financial systems and fiscal management
  • Experience in project accounting
  • Understanding of procurement and contracting processes
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
