Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 based on experience

Department Information
Involvement in Long-Term Care, Post-Acute Services, Outpatient Therapy, and Home Health Care.

Sign-on bonuses available for both experienced therapists and new graduates.

Role Summary


Designs, organizes, and implements physical therapy programs aimed at assisting clients in regaining mobility, alleviating pain, enhancing strength, and preventing physical impairments.

Conducts thorough assessments and evaluations of clients impacted by injuries or health conditions. Employs various techniques and tools to deliver effective physical therapy interventions while adhering to safety protocols. Maintains comprehensive documentation of client information for evaluation purposes; formulates therapeutic plans and adjusts them as needed. Instructs clients and their families on treatment plans and self-care exercises to be practiced at home. Demonstrates knowledge of age-appropriate treatments and evaluations tailored to the specific needs of clients.

May provide care to individuals across all age groups with diverse diagnoses and conditions. Ensures documentation aligns with departmental standards and complies with all regulatory requirements. Exhibits proficiency in treatments relevant to their area of specialization.

Demonstrates adaptability to varying work schedules and assignments. Engages in initiatives to promote the department and the mission of the Good Samaritan Society.

Will interact with various stakeholders outside the department, including healthcare providers, case managers, insurance representatives, and community organizations. May supervise assistants, aides, and students during client care activities.

Expected to provide ongoing education and mentorship to colleagues in their area of expertise as designated by department leadership.

Performs additional duties as assigned by management.


Depending on facility needs, may focus on delivering services in post-acute, long-term care, and home health settings.


Qualifications
Must possess the appropriate educational background as required by state licensure.

Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state(s) of practice is mandatory.

A valid driver's license may be required in certain situations.

Must obtain and maintain necessary department-specific competencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers is required within the first 60 days of employment.
