Job Summary
As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering comprehensive physical therapy programs aimed at helping clients recover, enhance mobility, alleviate pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities. You will conduct thorough examinations and evaluations for clients affected by injury or illness, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques to administer interventions while adhering to safety protocols.

Documenting client information for evaluation is essential, as is establishing and modifying therapeutic plans as necessary. You will also educate clients and their families about treatment plans and self-exercises to be continued at home, ensuring that age-related treatment approaches are utilized effectively.

It is important to incorporate current research into daily treatment practices, demonstrating flexibility with varying work schedules and assignments. You may interact with individuals outside of the department, including providers, case managers, and third-party payers, and may supervise assistants and students in providing care.

Qualifications
To qualify, you must possess the appropriate educational background as required by state licensure and hold a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist. A valid driver's license may be necessary depending on the role. You will need to obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers within the first 60 days of employment.
