Role Summary


Designs, organizes, and implements physical therapy programs aimed at assisting clients in recovering mobility, alleviating pain, enhancing strength, and preventing physical impairments.

Conducts assessments and therapeutic interventions for clients impacted by injuries or health conditions. Employs various tools and techniques to deliver physical therapy services while adhering to safety protocols. Maintains comprehensive documentation of client evaluations and establishes therapeutic plans, adjusting them as needed. Provides education to clients and their families regarding treatment protocols and self-care exercises.

Demonstrates knowledge of age-appropriate treatment methodologies and evaluations tailored to the needs of diverse clients. Integrates current research findings into daily practice to enhance client outcomes.

May work with individuals across all age groups with a variety of diagnoses and conditions. Ensures compliance with departmental documentation standards and regulatory requirements. Exhibits flexibility in accepting diverse work schedules and assignments. Engages in initiatives to promote the department and the mission of the Good Samaritan Society.

Interacts with external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, case managers, and insurance representatives. May oversee assistants, aides, and students in delivering care and treatment services. Expected to provide ongoing training and education to colleagues in specialized areas as directed by leadership.

Responsibilities may include focusing on clients receiving care in post-acute, long-term care, and home health settings based on facility needs.


Qualifications
Must possess the appropriate educational credentials as mandated by state licensure.

Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the relevant state(s) is required.

A valid driver's license may be necessary when applicable.

Must obtain and maintain specific competencies and certifications required by the department. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers is required within the first 60 days of employment.
