Role Summary


The Physical Therapist is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing physical therapy programs aimed at enhancing patient mobility, alleviating discomfort, building strength, and preventing physical impairments. This role involves conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of patients affected by injuries or illnesses.

Utilizing evidence-based practices, the therapist will apply various therapeutic techniques and interventions while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Documentation of patient progress and treatment plans is essential, along with educating patients and their families about ongoing care and self-management strategies.

The therapist will work with individuals across all age groups, adapting treatment approaches to meet diverse needs. Compliance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards is paramount, as is the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers and case managers.

Flexibility in work assignments and schedules is expected, as is participation in departmental initiatives to promote the mission of the Good Samaritan Society.


Qualifications
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Relevant educational background as per state requirements
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 60 days of employment
