About the Healthcare Segment

The Ascend Learning Healthcare Segment is at the forefront of innovation, creating solutions that enhance outcomes for students, educators, and healthcare professionals in a rapidly evolving industry.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Sales Consultant to lead sales and business development initiatives within our Medicine Segment. This role encompasses new business acquisition, lead assessment, opportunity management, and channel strategy execution. The consultant will focus on the medical education sector, driving customer acquisition and revenue growth within the designated territory.

Work Environment

This position allows for remote work flexibility across the continental United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic sales plans and assist in crafting marketing initiatives that generate leads for our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings.
  • Drive new business development and acquire new clients through proactive prospecting and effective management of marketing-generated leads.
  • Oversee opportunities through various sales stages, converting prospects into revenue to meet quarterly and annual targets.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to enhance messaging and communication strategies aimed at increasing brand visibility and generating client referrals.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is advantageous.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in outside sales with a focus on new business development.
  • Experience in consultative selling and business development is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Healthcare and/or Higher Education sectors is a plus.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets through effective territory management and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional consultative selling skills and strong interpersonal abilities with executive-level clients.
  • Capability to manage both strategic and operational aspects of sales.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
