Position Overview:
We are in search of a seasoned Senior Tax Accountant and Financial Consultant to enhance our dynamic accounting firm. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering outstanding accounting and tax advisory services. Responsibilities will include managing client relationships, providing insightful financial reporting and analysis, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Familiarity with Tax Preparation software, particularly Lacerte, is preferred.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and evaluate financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Manage a variety of tax returns, encompassing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns
  • Offer tax guidance and conduct research on tax-related issues for clients
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to exceed their expectations
  • Assist in communications regarding IRS audits
  • Oversee client accounts to ensure accurate billing and collections
  • Stay informed on changes in accounting and tax regulations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish efficient accounting and tax processes
  • Mentor and train junior staff members

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA or EA certification is highly desirable
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax and accounting services
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service and team collaboration skills
