Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer experiences by providing personalized consultations and recommendations for eyewear and accessories.
  • Develop and maintain a loyal customer base through exceptional service and referrals.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry products, procedures, and manufacturer rebates to provide informed recommendations.
  • Manage patient calls and orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and lens treatments, taking into account their specific needs and preferences.
  • Educate patients on proper eyeglass and contact lens care.
  • Collect and interpret patient measurements to ensure proper fit.
  • Collaborate with optometrists and ophthalmologists to interpret prescriptions and create work orders for lab technicians.
  • Dispense glasses, inspecting for proper fit and quality, and making adjustments as needed.
  • Perform eyewear adjustments and repairs using various tools and techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, technicians, and store managers to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards.
  • Restock retail boards with new merchandise and maintain visual appeal of the store.
  • Provide thorough and accurate information to patients regarding insurance, warranty, products, and services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred
  • Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Dependability and punctuality
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs, bend, kneel, and stand up to 8hrs a day
