Key Responsibilities

The Aviation Operations Specialist, Army G3 plays a crucial role in supporting the objectives of the USAACE G3 and associated training brigades, as well as the Capability Development and Integration Directorate (CDID). This position involves providing comprehensive analysis, assessment, coordination, and support for various functions related to Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF). Specific duties include:

  • Creating executive-level briefings and speeches regarding Army Aviation training operations and program management.
  • Engaging in meetings, briefings, reviews, and Individual Transition Plans (ITPs).
  • Drafting detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations.
  • Collaborating with senior leaders and agencies across the Aviation Enterprise.
  • Ensuring the timely issuance of all Warning Orders, Operations Orders, and Fragmentary Orders to relevant USAACE entities.
  • Adapting to rapidly evolving circumstances affecting the USAACE G3.
  • Representing the G3 in working groups and In-Progress Reviews to facilitate coordination and integration of DOTMLPF analysis.
  • Acting as an officer on the USAACE G3 staff, assisting in the synchronization of training efforts across USAACE and tenant organizations.
  • Coordinating with Army Staff, AMCOM, PEO Aviation, US Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASOAC), and USAACE CDID.
  • Working with the Program Executive Officer (PEO) on matters related to fielding, training development, and lifecycle support.
  • Establishing and maintaining a robust Quality Control Program (QCP).
  • Reporting all program management actions and financial status in a Monthly Status Report.

Qualifications

Education: A BA/BS degree is required.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of all acquisition systems related to the Aviation portfolio.
  • Extensive understanding of Aviation operations and DOTMLPF assessments.
  • Strong professional, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams within a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
  • Insight into Aviation Transformation and the future of the Aviation Branch.
  • Proficient in computer operations and software applications.

Experience: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $70,000 per year. This figure serves as a general guideline, as SRE considers various factors in compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience, training, and organizational needs. SRE adheres to all applicable labor laws regarding salary compliance.
