Job Overview:
M1 Support Services is seeking an experienced Aviation Operations Manager to oversee and direct the flight operations of the UH-60 fleet. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with operational standards and enhancing the efficiency of flight activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and manage test flight operations to fulfill performance work statement (PWS) requirements.
  • Support the administration and management of the Flight Mechanic (FM) or Flight Engineer (FE) Standardization and Training Program.
  • Enforce standard operating procedures in alignment with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company policies.
  • Act as a liaison with logistics and airfield command on flight operation matters.
  • Maintain proficiency in aerial flight duties according to applicable service guidance and FAA regulations.
  • Continuously seek to enhance operational processes and reduce cycle times.
  • Contribute to the development of organizational policies and procedures related to flight operations.
  • Manage the FM or FE Standardization and Training Program, ensuring compliance with training and evaluation standards.
  • Conduct training and evaluations for FM, FE, Flight Instructor (FI), or Standardization Instructor (SI) roles.
  • Oversee training and qualifications for non-crewmember personnel at the assigned field.
  • Coordinate with safety officers for flight safety and implement comprehensive safety programs.
  • Participate in preflight planning, including performance data analysis and operational checks.
  • Ensure proper maintenance documentation and compliance for maintenance test flights.
  • Perform operational checks and maneuvers in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions using specialized tools and technical manuals.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism within the team.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Completion of the authorized Flight Instructor course or equivalent evaluation.
  • A minimum of 750 flight hours as a FM or FE, with preferred experience as an SI/FI.
  • Graduate of the applicable military occupational specialty program or equivalent training.
  • Possession of a valid FAA Medical Certificate.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of aviation quality systems.
  • Proficient in English communication.
  • Capable of working in various environments, including aircraft hangars and ramps.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage stressful situations effectively.
