Role of the Communications Coordinator

The primary objective of the Communications Coordinator is to effectively engage and inform the community about our organization and its initiatives. Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a liaison with community partners to advance organizational goals.
  • Participating in community fundraising activities and identifying potential sponsors.
  • Recruiting clients and volunteers to support our mission.
  • Coordinating and organizing events required by grants.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all events mandated by grants, ensuring timelines are adhered to.
  • Support various communication and marketing efforts, including face-to-face, online, and print initiatives.
  • Create, distribute, and maintain outreach materials such as brochures and educational content.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and authorities.
  • Collaborate with team members to support community-led initiatives focused on health and well-being.
  • Organize events that engage local residents and partners.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, public health, or a related field; marketing or communications degrees will also be considered.
  • Experience in utilizing creative platforms for community engagement, including design, art, photography, or video.
  • Knowledgeable about the healthcare and behavioral health sectors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Access to reliable transportation for clinics, events, and activities.
