Job DescriptionThe Role:

This position is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction for the standardization of billing and collections processes within the organization. The individual will collaborate closely with operations to facilitate an enterprise-wide integration of Salesforce and NetSuite systems, driving process enhancements. This is a hands-on managerial role that demands visibility and active participation to ensure the team meets its objectives.

The ideal candidate will be results-driven and possess a strong process-oriented mindset, capable of scaling and leading a top-tier team. This includes exceptional leadership skills, proven ability to partner with various business units, and outstanding communication skills to effectively engage diverse audiences both within and outside the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integration of billing and collections systems, collaborating with consultants and internal stakeholders to evaluate current systems and processes, document business requirements, manage implementation timelines, and ensure effective communication of needs and deliverables.
  • Oversee the complete billing process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all billing operations.
  • Utilize Salesforce and NetSuite for managing customer accounts, invoicing, and financial reporting, ensuring seamless integration and functionality between these platforms.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the billing and collections teams, ensuring delivery and ongoing improvements.
  • Apply knowledge of revenue recognition standards, such as ASC 606, to ensure billing and collection processes align with relevant accounting principles.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and payments for accuracy and participate in the month-end closing process.
  • Address and resolve customer billing inquiries and disputes in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Manage escalations and act as a player-coach as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to optimize the billing workflow, minimize errors, and boost efficiency.
  • Coach, train, and develop team members while managing project workflows and ensuring timely execution and completion.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards change with a keen attention to detail.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Communicate effectively with operations to educate on processes, systems, and accounting policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in billing and collections.
  • Experience with international billing and collections operations across North and Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite (required) and Salesforce (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams.
  • Strong work ethic, urgency, accountability, and integrity.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and adaptable.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • Location: Eastern Time Zone North America.
