Summary:
As a Vice President of Technology Operations, you will oversee the planning, design, development, and implementation of innovative equipment and technologies through a research-driven approach. Your role will involve conducting investigations, testing, modeling, and comparative analysis to provide informed recommendations that guide organizational decisions. You will play a pivotal role in strategic planning by offering ongoing research-based insights and advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage the operational and capital equipment budgets for the technology team.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors to support early to mid-phase device prototyping.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate product return, on-hold, and product destruction operations.
  • Enhance product offerings through algorithm development and code implementation.
  • Lead team engagement initiatives and action planning.
  • Prepare and contribute to technical documentation, product manuals, and protocols.
  • Design and oversee the manufacturing of testing equipment and apparatus.
  • Assist in process development and product optimization, including manufacturing and quality control procedures.
  • Organize and participate in field trials as necessary.
  • Lead scientific evaluations and participate in diligence and negotiation activities.
  • Assist in evaluating and recommending new equipment and technology.
  • Conduct audit reviews and implement corrections based on findings.
  • Serve as the technical project lead for integration process development programs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal product teams to understand and address their requirements.
  • Review work products and documents to ensure technical rigor and quality.
  • Manage and maintain the patent process in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare a technology roadmap utilizing input from customers and product managers.
  • Set strategies for new product development, innovation, and customer teams.
  • Establish strategies for industry conventions and team professional development.
  • Create an organizational structure that aligns with commercial objectives.
  • Track, manage, and maintain all product milestones.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Preferred experience with SolidWorks.
  • HVAC industry experience.
  • Experience in product management.
  • Engineering management experience.
  • Basic understanding of protocol writing.
  • Strong algorithm design skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is required. A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Engineering or a related area is preferred.
