Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Lead is tasked with spearheading the initiatives necessary to uphold and enhance product quality from the supply chain to the end customer. This role serves as the custodian of quality standards, actively engaging with all departments to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The individual will oversee the development, execution, and management of comprehensive quality assurance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a culture of quality throughout the organization, leading training sessions and coordinating quality-related meetings.
  • Document and implement a quality management system aligned with ISO 9001 standards, ensuring compliance and continual improvement.
  • Utilize analytical tools to identify key process characteristics and drive enhancements in process capabilities.
  • Employ statistical process control methods to maintain and improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with operations to identify and rectify inefficiencies in processes, utilizing problem-solving methodologies.
  • Provide support in resolving supplier claims and customer quality issues, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Lead the Material Review Board in evaluating quality incidents and implementing corrective actions.
  • Supervise and mentor quality assurance personnel, fostering professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficient in quality control methodologies, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA, and inspection planning.
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 compliance and continuous improvement practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager or Six Sigma are advantageous.
