About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Banker to join our team at Umpqua Bank. As a Personal Banker, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by building new and expanding existing relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by identifying and offering products and services, and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Develop relationships by consulting with customers and delivering detailed clerical support for deposit and consumer loan accounts, business accounts, collections and wires, safe deposit contracts, and pay and receive transactions.
  • Back up Client Service Specialists and stay current on products and procedures.
  • Resolve customer issues and requests, and demonstrate proficiency with basic business, consumer, and trust entities.
  • Learn consumer lending and begin to mentor other team members about products, services, and business partners.
  • Assist the Assistant Manager with operational duties and tasks.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, and knowledge of products and services offered by Umpqua Bank. You will also need to be able to follow Standard Operating Procedures and possess cash handling, balancing, and calculating skills.

  • Ability to complete multiple and varying customer requests in a timely fashion.
  • Supports the branch goal of identifying and referring a range of bank products and services to the appropriate business partners.
  • Focused on learning to expand the customer relationship with emphasis on creating new relationships and expanding existing relationships.
  • Familiar with state laws regarding products and services.
  • Ability to become NMLS certified.
  • Prior Client Service Specialist or banking experience preferred.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
