The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing high-quality promotional materials in both print and digital formats, ensuring alignment with the organization's communication and marketing goals. This role involves managing multiple projects efficiently, collaborating with various departments while adhering to design specifications and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Craft engaging marketing copy for campaigns across diverse media platforms to effectively reach target audiences.
  2. Design captivating digital marketing content for all organizational facilities and services, including social media graphics and short videos.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to create print marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and promotional postcards.
  4. Coordinate the production of digital program guides, ensuring timely updates in collaboration with relevant departments.
  5. Develop and manage email marketing campaigns aimed at specific audiences, overseeing multiple subscriber lists.
  6. Assist in the creation of social media marketing strategies and communications, engaging with patrons through comments and messages.
  7. Update online listings for facilities, parks, and events on search engines and local directories.
  8. Design and produce the annual organizational newsletter, overseeing the printing and distribution process.
  9. Maintain and update the organization's websites, ensuring effective user experience and content relevance.
  10. Conceptualize branding for new initiatives and enforce established style guidelines across all marketing materials.
  11. Create large format signage and banners for display at facilities, managing vendor quotes and artwork preparation.
  12. Capture and edit photos and videos of events and facilities for use in various marketing channels.
  13. Support special events as needed, contributing to their success.
  14. Stay informed of industry trends and best practices through networking and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in a related role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Familiarity with video production software and HTML editing tools is required.
  • Digital Marketing Tools: Experience with email marketing platforms and social media management tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
  • Valid driver's license.

This position may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events and programs.
