Position Overview
As a Freelance Senior Vice President of Social Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in guiding multiple teams at the crossroads of media, creativity, analytics, social engagement, and content development.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily activities will include:
- Leading the strategic direction, offering insights and methodologies to create compelling content, cultivate audiences, and enhance client visibility.
- Providing informed perspectives on the social media and content landscape, including current trends and best practices.
- Driving thought leadership in content creation, engagement strategies, measurement techniques, and operational processes.
- Assisting brands in formulating governance and escalation protocols for their social media presence.
- Building and nurturing strong partnerships with third-party content providers and platforms.
- Engaging with clients to strategize on specific brand social initiatives.
Qualifications
We seek candidates with substantial and impactful experience, typically including:
- A minimum of 12 years in digital marketing, focusing on social media and content development for prominent clients.
- At least 5 years of experience managing direct reports.
- A comprehensive understanding of media planning, distribution, and content syndication.
- Proven experience in leading creative strategies in the digital realm, encompassing content, media, social, and activation.
- The ability to forge strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, innovative content solutions, and trends in social media, along with a connection to entertainment and popular culture.
- A keen sense of consumer insights, understanding what drives audience engagement.
- The capability to support creative concepts with robust analytical reasoning.
- A current and informed perspective on digital media, social channels, and content platforms, including emerging partners and practices.
- Strong communication skills, ensuring that clients value your insights.
- A willingness to travel, embracing new environments, ideas, and connections.
