Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • IEP Development and Implementation: Create and implement IEPs that cater to the unique needs of each student, ensuring their academic and personal growth.
  • Supportive Learning Environment: Establish a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement, motivation, and social-emotional development.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Provide tailored instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with special needs.
  • Progress Monitoring and Assessment: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, documenting achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
  • Instructional Techniques and Resources: Utilize a range of instructional techniques, materials, and resources to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Assistive Technology and Adaptive Equipment: Incorporate assistive technology and adaptive equipment as needed to facilitate student participation and independence.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Special Education: A master's degree in Special Education is preferred.
  • Teaching Certificate or Credential: A valid teaching certificate or credential in Special Education is required.
  • IEP Experience: Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to develop and implement them effectively.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
