About the Opportunity

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Physical Therapist in our Special Education department, you will play a critical role in providing physical therapy services to children with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluation, intervention, and documentation for children between the ages of 3 and 22 years who have been identified as having special needs that may be physically disabling.
  • Provide direct treatment, monitoring, and consultation to the educational team to help students acquire educationally related functional activities.
  • Travel to various schools within the District as assigned by the Office of Related Services.
  • Follow the departmental procedures, attend in-service and departmental meetings, and complete documentation requirements for the District.
  • Submit documentation required by the District.
  • Complete any additional duties as requested by the Office of Related Services Administrator and/or the Administrator(s) of the Division of Special Education.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Current License to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Ohio, issued by the OT/PT/AT Trainers Board.
  • Valid Certificate from Ohio Department of Education.
  • Knowledgeable in pediatric interventions and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Self-starter, independent, and dependable worker.
  • Able to collaborate well with a team of therapists, teachers, parents, and outside agencies.
