Position Overview:

The Operations Executive is responsible for overseeing revenue and expenses through effective profit and loss management for multiple local and remote sites. The primary goal is to design, construct, and manage high-efficiency, low-touch storage solutions while standardizing and expanding operations nationwide.

This role involves managing daily operations related to rolling equipment, driver check-ins and outs, storage organization, and yard security. Key responsibilities include budgeting, customer service, and ensuring the safety of facilities and equipment. The Operations Executive will also supervise maintenance, record-keeping, safety protocols, and security measures to protect employees, service providers, equipment, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer and Vendor Engagement

  • Act as the primary contact for assigned customers and vendors, ensuring outstanding service delivery.
  • Manage customer escalations by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and executing service recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product & Engineering, and Real Estate leadership to enhance customer solutions, including direct sales to new clients.

Yard Operations Oversight

  • Develop and maintain an effective yard management program to achieve specified accuracy rates.
  • Conduct profit and loss reviews with decision-making authority for efficient and profitable operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing for customers and payroll for employees.
  • Identify and justify necessary upgrades or replacements of outdated or unproductive assets.
  • Analyze and adjust workflow to ensure balanced workloads.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop all employees at the location.
  • Manage team performance and support their professional growth.
  • Address personnel matters related to hiring, training, terminations, and grievances.
  • Promote a culture of process improvement and defect elimination to enhance customer satisfaction.

Safety and Compliance Management

  • Oversee workplace safety management and training, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Direct and manage record-keeping, inspections, audits, and safety training initiatives.

Strategic and Operational Excellence

  • Translate business segment strategies into actionable plans and guide execution.
  • Evaluate business conditions, assess emerging needs, and implement actions to improve service, reduce costs, and increase revenue.
  • Anticipate factors that may influence strategies and the company's market position.
  • Manage the enforcement and deployment of standard operating procedures, tracking key performance indicators monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Problem Solving and Process Enhancement

  • Address complex issues where problems are not clearly defined and fundamental principles may not fully apply.
  • Encourage a culture of process improvement and defect elimination to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong commitment to customer service, excellent communication skills, and high attention to detail.

  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Suite, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability to effectively communicate before groups of customers or employees.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred (relevant experience may substitute for education).
  • Competitive spirit and a strong desire to succeed. Thrives under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to make strategic decisions based on data analysis.
  • Curiosity combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving approach.
  • Military or law enforcement experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively to maximize customer value.
  • Experience in multi-site management, preferably in logistics terminal, dispatch, or fulfillment center management.
  • Familiarity with transportation supply chain management.
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations is strongly preferred.
  • Preference for candidates willing to relocate for future opportunities within the organization.

Compensation: $65-80k OTE
