Overview

The Aviation Quality Assurance Inspector collaborates closely with the Chief Inspector/Quality Manager to guarantee that aircraft operations are effectively supported. This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to quality control protocols across all assigned projects, thereby upholding the highest standards of quality. It is essential to foster a constructive and efficient relationship with ACI Jet's personnel, suppliers, and clients. Flexibility in working hours is required, including availability for on-call duties during evenings and weekends. Compensation for this position is negotiable, reflecting the candidate's experience.

Reporting Structure

The Aviation Quality Assurance Inspector reports directly to the Chief Inspector/Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are essential (additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed):
  1. Oversee and ensure the proper implementation of the quality control procedures as detailed in the Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.
  • Verify that items submitted for repairs comply with Repair Station authorizations.
  • Prepare work order documentation for maintenance activities.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to monitor maintenance.
  • Make airworthiness assessments based on the interpretation of regulatory guidelines and maintenance documentation.
  • Execute Final Inspections.
  • Return aircraft to operational status.
  • Generate and appropriately distribute maintenance event records.
  • Complete the administrative processing of work order documents.
Technical Documentation
  • Gather all necessary maintenance information.
  • Ensure that maintenance data is accessible and up-to-date.
  • Monitor the use of relevant and current data.
Tool Management
  • Ensure availability of specialized tools as required.
  • Confirm the correct usage of tools.
  • Verify the serviceability of utilized tools.
Workplace Culture
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Engage in and advocate for the company’s SQMS system.
Qualifications

Essential
  • A strong enthusiasm for aviation.
  • 1 to 5 years of inspection experience at a Part 145 Repair Station or equivalent.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, utilizing specialized tools, and working with aircraft maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management and logistical skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Availability for on-call and after-hours support.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid A&P License.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Office, Aviation Maintenance Software, Google Docs, Google Sheets).
  • Physical capability to lift 50 pounds, and perform climbing, kneeling, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Must be available for on-call duties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Citation CE-560, XL, XLS, Citation CE-525, 525A, 525B, CE-680, and CE-750 models.
  • Familiarity with Bombardier Global Models, Challenger 300/350, and 600-Series.
Acceptable Experience
  • Experience with all Gulfstream models.
  • Experience with all Cessna Citation models.
  • Experience with all Bombardier models.
Additional Information

This position is classified as a DOT Safety Sensitive role, necessitating participation in a random drug testing program.

Compensation

$60.00/hour | Based on Experience
