Job Purpose:

Quality Assurance Inspector :
Responsible for conducting product inspections and/or audits of quality assurance programs. Engages in packaging line and manufacturing inspections, as well as sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials. Ensures that raw materials, in-process items, and finished products comply with company standards. May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials after evaluating analytical data. May review draft and final label copy, utilizing knowledge of labeling regulations. Aims to minimize downtime by reducing production rework and recalls.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Familiarity with IPC 610 standards
  • Ability to identify component values
  • Proficient in reading Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
  • Must demonstrate the capability to read, comprehend, and adhere to manufacturing process instructions (MPIs)
  • Must be knowledgeable and capable of operating Automatic Optical Inspection machinery
Education and Experience:

  • Availability for overtime and weekend work as necessary, in addition to a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Proficient in reading English and effectively communicating with others
  • Must possess the ability to assemble products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
Must be capable of operating hand tools, power tools, or production equipment.
-1 to 2 years of experience as an inspector
