Position Overview

Pacifica Continental is seeking an experienced I&E Project Manager / Electrical Engineer to oversee a variety of projects within our sustainability initiatives. This role will serve as the primary leader for project teams, guiding them through all phases of project development and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly manage the execution of both capital and operational projects, ensuring alignment with engineering and construction resources.
  • Collaborate with the Front End Loading Engineering Manager to innovate and develop new project concepts that align with site execution needs.
  • Conduct thorough project reviews and scope assessments, while preparing justifications and presentations for leadership.
  • Provide expert technical solutions to address plant challenges based on your engineering expertise.
  • Oversee the implementation of project workflows, utilizing both internal and external resources for effective project execution.
  • Ensure all project aspects are managed to meet established deliverables and performance metrics.
  • Maintain accountability for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate necessary Process Safety Management reviews and documentation updates.
  • Deliver consistent project updates through effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Manage the overall project scope, cost development, engineering design, and construction phases, including documentation and training.
  • Adhere to integrated management systems, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Participate actively in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as mandated by the company.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Alternative degrees in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering with significant experience in petrochemical or refining facilities, along with knowledge in instrumentation and electrical power distribution.
  • Experience in both front-end and detailed design project functions is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with project execution staged gate processes is preferred.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Professional certifications such as CAPM, PMP, or PgMP are advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools, with a solid understanding of critical path analysis.
  • Experience with SAP and distributed control systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, environmental regulations, and project management methodologies is crucial.
