Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Management Intern to join our team at The Heico Companies. As a Project Management Intern, you will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Assist in establishing project schedules, work tasks, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion.
  • Estimating and Budgeting: Support the planning and estimating stage of projects to ensure efficient, safe, and economical project execution.
  • Document Control: Learn and understand the importance of document control, including ordering and accepting deliveries, surveys, quantity control, daily reports, safety reports, and production reports.
  • Material and Equipment Scheduling: Assist in the development and coordination of material and equipment schedules.
  • Project Monitoring: Work closely with the project team to monitor the safety, cost, and scheduling of construction projects.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve concerns regarding structural design with the project team.
  • Special Projects: Perform special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Requirements:
  • Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic knowledge of AutoCAD and/or BIM Modeling.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors.
  • Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information regarding plan layouts, material deliveries, and jobsite productivities.
  • OSHA Requirements: Basic knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
  • Experience: Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling materials and equipment, as well as supervising jobsite productivity and personnel, is a plus.
