Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual to provide culturally competent services to individuals in a welcoming and stigma-free environment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the mental health system and be able to provide support and guidance to individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strengths-based, person-centered services to individuals in a collaborative and caring relationship.
- Partner with community providers to ensure seamless access to services and resources.
- Coordinate resource events and activities at the CWC to promote wellness and recovery.
- Educate staff on available community resources and provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Share lived experience while providing support and guidance to individuals in need.
- Provide case management and linkage to community supports to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
- Assist with managing crises and de-escalation situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Promote the integration of physical and mental health wellness and provide support to individuals in achieving their goals.
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus related life experience.
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to SAMHSA's core competencies for peer workers in behavioral health services.
- The ability to engage with individuals and provide support and guidance in a collaborative and caring relationship.
- The ability to network with community providers and resources to ensure seamless access to services.
