Position Overview:
We are in search of a talented, engaging, and innovative Beverage Manager to oversee our beverage program. This pivotal role involves managing wine and spirits procurement, crafting cocktail and wine menus, and enhancing the overall guest experience. The Beverage Manager will be tasked with supervising our bars and ensuring that our offerings consistently exceed expectations. Additionally, this position entails managing restaurant shifts, serving as the Manager on Duty (MOD), and overseeing daily operations to guarantee a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Beverage Program Management:
    • Curate and develop a diverse wine list featuring selections from both Old and New World regions.
    • Design and create innovative craft cocktails and classic drinks with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients.
    • Encourage experimentation with barrel aging techniques, house-made bitters, syrups, and other contemporary methods.
    • Regularly refresh the beverage menu to align with seasonal trends and innovations.
    • Organize and conduct cocktail and wine education sessions, providing guests with an interactive and enjoyable learning experience.
    • Facilitate staff training on wine, spirits, and cocktail knowledge to enhance service skills and product understanding.
    • Ensure the consistent quality and presentation of all beverages served.
  • Inventory and Ordering:
    • Oversee the inventory of wine, spirits, and bar supplies, maintaining optimal stock levels.
    • Manage supplier orders, negotiate pricing, and foster strong vendor relationships.
    • Monitor beverage costs to achieve budgetary objectives.
  • Shift Management:
    • Serve as the Manager on Duty (MOD) during shifts, overseeing the entire operation.
    • Inspire and lead the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service to guests.
    • Address guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Event and Promotions Management:
    • Collaborate with the team to design and implement beverage-centric events, promotions, and seasonal offerings.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of special events, private gatherings, and wine/cocktail tastings.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Beverage Manager, Bar Manager, or similar role in a high-end bar or restaurant environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail creation, with a strong emphasis on both Old and New World wines.
  • Experience with barrel aging, crafting from-scratch mixers, and creating house-made syrups and bitters.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to effectively oversee a team and manage shifts.
  • Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
