Our organization, a prominent parent company overseeing over 300 franchise locations throughout North America, is in search of a Head of Vendor Relations.


In this position, you will spearhead the acquisition and negotiation of national agreements and initiatives with both large-scale and smaller vendor partners that serve our extensive franchise network. You will engage directly with stakeholders and key vendor partners during district meetings and annual gatherings. In addition to enhancing our network's profitability, you will have the exceptional chance to define and broaden this role, increasing its significance.

Position: Head of Vendor Relations
Reports to: SVP of Training and Launch
Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the complete vendor management lifecycle, encompassing vendor partner acquisition, negotiation, contract oversight, performance evaluation, rebate opportunities, and program awareness.
  • Formulate and execute effective sourcing strategies, identifying and collaborating with profitable suppliers.
  • Foster and sustain vendor partnerships to cultivate enduring relationships.
  • Lead and mentor the Vendor Relations team, promoting network engagement with vendor programs.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure clear vendor specifications and expectations.
  • Monitor and report key metrics, analyzing data to anticipate market shifts and prepare mitigation strategies.
  • Encourage long-term savings on procurement costs through spending oversight and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Educate and inform Franchise Offices and the internal team about vendor opportunities, enhancing awareness at district meetings and conferences.
  • Assist teams during catastrophic (CAT) events for effective mobilization through vendor partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with new owners to inform them about available vendor resources.
  • Conduct annual meetings with key vendor partners to review business performance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience required.
  • Demonstrated success as a Vendor or Procurement Manager, ideally in a franchise context.
  • Strong capability in market analysis along with hands-on experience in sourcing, procurement, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Prior experience presenting to diverse audiences across the organization and organizing large events, including partner sponsorship oversight.
  • Exceptional collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, etc.). Experience with CVENT is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary within the US and Canada to achieve organizational objectives.
