Position Overview:
We are in search of a talented and imaginative Beverage Manager to oversee our beverage program. This pivotal role encompasses managing the beverage offerings, including wine and spirits procurement, cocktail and wine menu creation, and enhancing the overall guest experience. The Beverage Manager will also be responsible for supervising bar operations and ensuring the highest standards of service. Additionally, this role involves managing restaurant shifts and ensuring smooth daily operations for an enjoyable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Beverage Program Management:
    • Curate a diverse wine list that showcases selections from both Old and New World regions.
    • Design and craft innovative cocktails with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients.
    • Implement modern techniques such as barrel aging, house-made bitters, and syrups.
    • Regularly refresh the beverage menu to align with seasonal trends and innovations.
    • Conduct engaging cocktail and wine classes that provide guests with an interactive learning experience.
    • Facilitate staff training on wine, spirits, and cocktail knowledge to enhance service quality.
    • Ensure the quality and presentation of all beverages served meets our high standards.
  • Inventory and Ordering:
    • Oversee inventory management for wine, spirits, and bar supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
    • Coordinate orders with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and foster strong vendor relationships.
    • Monitor beverage costs to ensure adherence to budgetary goals.
  • Shift Management:
    • Act as the Manager on Duty (MOD) during shifts, overseeing all operations.
    • Inspire and lead the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service.
    • Address guest inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Event and Promotions Management:
    • Collaborate with the team to create and implement beverage-centric events and promotions.
    • Assist in organizing special events, private gatherings, and tastings.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Beverage Manager, Bar Manager, or in a similar capacity within a high-end establishment.
  • In-depth knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation, with a focus on both Old and New World selections.
  • Experience with modern beverage techniques, including barrel aging and creating house-made mixers.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to effectively oversee a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in inventory management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for crafting memorable guest experiences.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
