Role Summary:
We are in search of a talented and imaginative Beverage Manager to oversee our beverage program. This pivotal role involves managing wine and spirits procurement, developing cocktail and wine menus, and enhancing the overall guest experience. The Beverage Manager will be tasked with supervising our bars and ensuring that our offerings maintain the highest standards. Additionally, this position entails managing restaurant shifts and overseeing daily operations to guarantee a seamless and enjoyable experience for patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Beverage Program Oversight:
    • Curate and develop a diverse wine list featuring selections from both Old and New World regions.
    • Design innovative craft cocktails and classic drinks that highlight seasonal ingredients.
    • Encourage experimentation with barrel aging techniques and house-made mixers.
    • Regularly refresh the beverage menu to align with seasonal trends and innovations.
    • Conduct engaging cocktail and wine classes that provide guests with an interactive learning experience.
    • Facilitate staff training sessions to enhance knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails, focusing on effective selling techniques.
    • Ensure the consistent quality and presentation of all beverages served.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee the inventory of wines, spirits, and bar supplies, maintaining optimal stock levels.
    • Manage supplier orders, negotiate pricing, and foster strong vendor relationships.
    • Monitor beverage costs to align with budgetary objectives.
  • Shift Leadership:
    • Act as the Manager on Duty during restaurant shifts, overseeing overall operations.
    • Inspire and lead the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service.
    • Address guest inquiries and feedback in a professional manner.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Event Coordination:
    • Collaborate with the team to create and implement beverage-focused events and promotions.
    • Assist in planning and executing special events, private gatherings, and tastings.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Beverage Manager, Bar Manager, or similar role in a high-end establishment.
  • In-depth knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktail creation, with a focus on both Old and New World selections.
  • Experience with barrel aging and crafting house-made mixers.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities, capable of effectively overseeing a team.
