Job Title: Senior AH-64D Flight Instructor

Job Responsibilities: This is a flying position.

The Senior AH-64D Flight Instructor is responsible for conducting flight training, evaluating pilot performance, and overseeing the training of other Instructor Pilots both within the continental United States and overseas. This role involves providing expert guidance on all facets of AH-64D training and ensuring compliance with established qualifications. The Standardization Instructor Pilot must possess a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter to effectively address student inquiries without reliance on instructional materials.

  • Travel will be required.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
  • Adherence to the company's AS9100 policies, procedures, and guidelines is mandatory.
Education/Experience:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of the AH-64 Instructor Pilot Course at an accredited Aviation Proponent School is required.
  • Must be qualified on the AH-64 Series Aircraft.
  • Prior qualification as an AH-64D Instructor Pilot is essential.
  • Experience as an AH-64D/E Master Gunner is required.
  • Must have flown an AH-64D or E within the last 180 days.
  • FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Instructor Pilot Certificate (CFE) or equivalent (GACA) is preferred.
  • FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Instrument Instructor Pilot Certificate (CFII) or equivalent (GACA) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2000 total flight hours in the AH-64 series aircraft and a total of 3000 rotary wing hours is required.
  • A minimum of 1000 Instructor Pilot flight hours in the AH-64D/E series aircraft is required.
  • A minimum of 150 Night Vision Goggle (NVG) flight hours is required.
  • A minimum of 500 Night Vision System (NVS) flight hours is required.
  • Experience teaching at USAACE as an AH-64D/E AQC flight line instructor and familiarity with the USAACE method of instruction (MOI) is necessary.
  • Experience with Aviation Mission Planning System (AMPS) and Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) procedures is required.
  • Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET) within the last 4 years is preferred.
  • Some experience as an AH-64D/E Standardization Instructor Pilot at Battalion or Brigade level is preferred.
Required Skills:
  • Must possess and maintain a FAA Class II Flight Physical or GACVA equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Army Aviation training concepts, administration, and logistics is required.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with staff and team members.
  • Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to represent the company professionally when communicating with customers.
