Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director-Central Sterile Processing to join our team at United Surgical Partners. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for directing all operations of the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring the highest quality sterile and high-level disinfected instrumentation, supplies, and equipment in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring efficient and effective operations
  • Develop and implement processes to improve systems and patient care results
  • Manage and resolve human resource, labor relations, and employee issues
  • Monitor and report compliance with sterilization and high-level disinfection mandatory testing processes
  • Oversee daily operations at multiple locations, including NYULOH and Essex Street Ambulatory Center

Requirements:

  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician by IAHCSMM
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or Healthcare-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of responsible Central Service hospital experience, including two years of supervisory experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of inventory control, supply distribution, receiving, reprocessing techniques, and principles
  • Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and regulatory standards
  • Current membership and active participation in relevant professional organizations
  • Computer knowledge and experience with inventory control software
