At Cloud and Things Inc, we are dedicated to addressing challenges and delivering effective solutions for our clients. We are currently looking for a Senior IT Solutions Architect to play a pivotal role in enhancing the IT landscape of public sector organizations.
Position Overview:
The selected candidate will provide architectural support for the Integrated Eligibility Services (IES) initiative, collaborating closely with the New York State office of Information Technology Services (ITS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and ensure that the IT architectural integration strategy is in harmony with the overarching program objectives and aligns with emerging business trends and technological advancements.
- Act as a hands-on leader, influencing the technical direction of the IES Program and contributing to the development of IES Solution Platform and associated products.
- Facilitate the adoption and implementation of product development methodologies, architectural governance frameworks, and relevant standards and policies.
- Make informed and sustainable technical decisions for various workstreams and products, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with ITS Principal/Domain Architects and Engineering teams to maintain cross-domain alignment with the technical strategy.
- Engage with Product Strategy teams to foster innovation through collaboration with Workstream Architects, SMEs, and PMs, while conducting proof of concepts, prototypes, and research to guide new initiatives.
- Participate in design reviews within Architecture Review Boards to ensure compliance with established architectural standards and strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and support for multiple IES projects, ensuring alignment between proposed solutions and program standards.
- Lead technical discussions with state, local, and vendor teams to ensure coherence in technical deliverables.
- Navigate the complexities of iterative product development.
Required Qualifications:
- Over seven (7) years of experience in managing complex projects, with at least two years in a leadership capacity.
- A minimum of five years of proven experience in developing architectural strategies and roadmaps that address business challenges and align with long-term organizational goals across various IT domains, particularly in hybrid cloud environments.
- Five or more years of experience collaborating with leadership teams and guiding delivery teams to achieve architectural outcomes aligned with business objectives and technology direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three or more years of experience leading solution implementations for government agencies, particularly in care management and eligibility systems.
- Five or more years of experience in designing and implementing software frameworks and reusable components for case management systems using .NET or JEE technologies.
- Experience in modernization projects requiring knowledge across multiple technical domains.
- Five or more years of experience with enterprise-wide architectures across various IT functional areas, identifying opportunities for capability reuse and business transformation.
- Experience with foundational technology components such as rules engines, API gateways, BPM, and middleware components.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Analysis, or a related field is required.
Compensation:
Annual salary range: $150,000 - $160,000.
