As the Lead Engineer for Solar Energy Solutions, you will spearhead the technical evolution of methodologies and tools for our solar energy desktop team, focusing on independent engineering projects while exploring innovative advancements in the solar sector and modeling techniques.
Your role will encompass conducting solar resource assessments and energy estimations, ensuring high-quality evaluations and prompt responses to client inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
- Shape the technical strategy and modeling advancements for solar energy projects.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and integrate technical innovations.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers, fostering their technical development.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of high-quality solar energy analysis.
Pre-Construction Energy Analyses:
Perform the following tasks:
- Compile, validate, and analyze meteorological data for solar resource evaluations.
- Assess project constraints and associated risks.
- Estimate plant losses and calculate uncertainties in assessments.
- Generate energy production forecasts.
- Create comprehensive energy production reports for clients.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to guarantee the timely delivery of superior products, engaging with other teams and business units as necessary. Communicate complex technical issues effectively with clients.
Qualifications:
A University Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an accredited institution, along with eight years of directly relevant experience. A thorough understanding of the technical terminology pertinent to the field is essential.
Possess a solid grasp of conformity standards applicable to your area of expertise and demonstrate the ability to apply project management concepts effectively, especially in complex or novel scenarios. Familiarity with industry challenges and requirements is also important.
