Rocky Vista University is seeking a dedicated Campus Safety Coordinator to enhance the safety and security of our educational environment.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this role is $20.00. The final salary will be determined based on various factors including experience, education, and qualifications.
Benefits Package:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safety and security services across campus through regular patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
- Respond to emergency calls, including medical emergencies and safety threats, and coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services.
- Monitor surveillance systems and manage access control protocols.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety incidents and public safety operations.
- Establish and nurture relationships with external safety and security agencies.
- Implement emergency notification systems and assist in risk management initiatives.
- Enforce campus policies and provide safety escorts for students and staff.
- Manage lost and found items and ensure all campus areas are free from hazards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Preferred: Experience in security or law enforcement.
Skills Required:
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective interaction with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Outlook and Word.
- Commitment to maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance.
Additional Information:
Final candidates will undergo a background check and drug screening.
