Nurse Care Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in Englewood, OH. As a Registered Nurse, you will supervise and coordinate the nursing care and services provided to residents of an assigned unit during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the maintenance of high-quality resident care on his/her assigned floor by giving medications and treatments to residents as ordered and assessing effectiveness.
- Make regular rounds to assess and evaluate conditions and needs, observing staff performance in care activities.
- Assigning, directing, and supervising nursing assistants to give resident care utilizing the plan of care.
- Directing and supervising Nursing Assistants in the delivery and documentation of Resident care.
- Arranging for adequate supplies and properly functioning equipment.
- Maintaining established policies and procedures, standards of practice and productivity, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control, and other regulatory requirements.
- Participating in regularly scheduled Care Conferences.
- Documenting the resident clinical record in a timely and accurate manner.
- Identifying resident problems and needs, setting goals and interventions, and writing about the plan of care.
- Completing or assisting with activities left from the previous shift.
- Accompanying physician on rounds.
- Notifying physicians, family members, and Care Team members of changes in the resident's condition.
- Investigating and resolving resident and/or family complaints and referring abuse or neglect issues to the Director of Nursing or Administrator immediately.
- Calling physicians handling referrals to consultants.
Requirements:
- Licensed in the State of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
