Event Coordination and Customer Experience

As a Birthday Party Coordinator at Michaels Stores, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating multiple events at once, including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events. You will engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity. Your duties will include demonstrating and instructing party participants in the completion of craft projects, performing face painting and other activities, and facilitating and implementing party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards. You will also communicate events with clients and store team members, complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed, and adjust plans and events based on client's feedback and needs. Additionally, you will ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events and uphold the company's cleanliness and safety standards. Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.

Customer Experience

You will help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions. You will provide fast and friendly check out experience, engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments, educate customer on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey, and assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). You will also participate in the truck un-load, stocking and planogram (POGs) processes, complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned, support shrink and safety programs, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements. You will interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations, promote commitment to the organization's vision and values, project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members. You will also cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production, and participate in daily store cleanliness activities including (but not limited to) sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms.
