Food and Beverage Operations Supervisor

Job Overview:
The Food and Beverage Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Food and Beverage Manager to deliver exceptional service while ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints related to payroll and operational costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in a hospitality environment is required. A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
Relevant college coursework is advantageous.
Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively is essential.
Must be capable of evaluating and selecting among various courses of action swiftly and accurately.
Demonstrating initiative in job performance, including anticipating needs before they arise, is crucial.
Maintaining composure and objectivity under stress is important.
Effectively addressing workplace challenges, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and resolving issues, is required.
Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt it to meet specific needs is essential.
Effective listening and understanding of concerns raised by colleagues and guests is necessary.
Proficiency in handling financial information and basic arithmetic is required.
Responsibilities:
Engage with guests and team members in a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented manner.
Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, which may vary based on hotel needs.
Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
Familiarize yourself with the structure of Aimbridge Hospitality Hotels and the functions of each department.
Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in managing food and beverage costs.
Maintain open communication with all staff, seeking input on food and beverage matters and serving as a motivating force.
Ensure service standards are upheld throughout the department by utilizing quality control measures such as weekly standards and coaching sessions.
Be knowledgeable about emergency procedures, including the locations of fire extinguishers and exits.
Implement consistent disciplinary measures for all Food and Beverage staff.
Familiarize yourself with the P.O.S. system utilized in the hotel.
Ensure all employees are consistently attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, colleagues, and management.
Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in preparing wage progress and productivity reports for the department.
Support the development of staff schedules based on business forecasts while adhering to wage control and productivity standards.
Ensure all side work responsibilities are completed by servers.
Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to generate promotional initiatives.
Assist in organizing and planning monthly departmental meetings.
Encourage and promote sales efforts among all service personnel.
Support the Food and Beverage Manager in conducting employee performance evaluations.
Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager and Food Production Manager to maintain and enhance the quality and presentation of all food offerings.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
