Job Title: Vice President, Business Unit Leader

HITT Contracting is seeking a seasoned leader to serve as the Business Unit Leader for our Santa Clara office. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple project teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a long-term strategic plan to build and maintain relationships with current and future clients
  • Leverage a pipeline of work for new and existing clients, creating consistent opportunities enterprise-wide
  • Act as the executive sponsor and approver for all pursuits, ensuring fair awarding practices and supplier diversity
  • Ensure all risk-related issues are properly documented and communicated, resolving any subcontractor disputes at the business unit level
  • Perform site walks to ensure milestones are being met and review all health checks to address any challenges
  • Establish and achieve revenue and profile goals, ensuring the accuracy and health of the business unit's finances and profits
  • Ensure proper team and resource allocation, helping to attract and recruit top talent, supporting career growth and opportunities, and developing a business unit succession plan
Requirements:
  • A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business (or additional work experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Experience in the local Santa Clara market (strongly preferred)
  • Software proficiency and ability to adopt software systems such as Procore, scheduling tools, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Bluebeam, and JD Edwards
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required
  • Skilled in business communications, including writing and verbal presentation
